Marcos Administration shows strong commitment to finish the planned Transportation Infrastructure projects especially on the railway sectors by supporting the increase of DOTR budget with over 2 folds and securing loans from its neighboring countries for the completion of Country’s railway projects.
As per DOTR’s report on the requested budget, majority of its proceeds will go to railway project including;
P75.1 billion - North-South Commuter Railway Metro
P26.5 billion -The Manila Subway Project
P2.7 billion - LRT Line 1 Cavite Extension
P1.1 billion - Philippine National Railways (PNR) South Long Hail Project.
These 4 projects are currently the ongoing major railways works to be completed in 5 to 10 years together with:
• Subic-Clark Railway
• Makati Intra-city Subway
• Metro Rail Transit Line 4 (MRT-4)
• Mindanao Railway
With these and more on the planning stage surely Marcos administration through DOTR is pushing to “BUILD BETTER MORE“.
The 5th Philippine Railway Modernization and Expansion summit will gather 200 c -level executives from DOTR, MRT, LRTA, LRMC, PNR , Government Authorities and all Railway stakeholders to discuss the future of Country’s railway systems and
exchange ideas regarding challenges , strategies and solution from the construction and railway operation. This event
will welcome solution provider to present their best solutions and ideas to help improve railway projects, developments
and operation in the country.
