The DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH) has made significant strides under the build better more program, with remarkable accomplishments include the completion of key bridges, roads and tunnel projects all contributing to more efficient travel and safer communities.
President Marcos’ commitment to enhancing the country’s infrastructure is clear with great emphasis on projects that will have a direct, positive impact on people’s daily lives. Expanding and upgrading the road networks, bridges, and tunnels is crucial not just for improving transportation, but for addressing long-standing challenges like traffic congestion, access to remote areas, and even resilience.
With such a substantial national budget allocation for 2025, DPWH is poised to complete or further developed this years project including the skyway stage 3 extension, the NLEX-SLEX connector road, Bataan Cavite interlink bridge, Panguil bay bridge, Samal Island - Davao city connector bridge, Panay – Guimaras - Negros Island bridges project, 4th Cebu - Mactan bridge (3.34 kilometers), Mandaue coastal road (5.34 kilometer) project and and various new expressways that aim to reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion, and boost connectivity between urban and rural areas.
To put more of this into discussion, Mykar’s 5th Philippine Roads, bridges and tunnels summit will again gather the most significant Philippine RBT project stakeholders to tackle opportunities, challenges, action plan, progress ,expectations and most importantly to introduce new solutions and technology which can help DPWH, RBT contractors be at par with international standards.
