With 2.5 Billion pesos allotted for the implementation of the Aviation Infrastructure Program next year which includes construction, rehabilitation , technical upgrade and modernization plans on the first 5 airport including Laoag International Airport ,Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport ,Ninoy Aquino International Airport and the Antique Airport and in Bukidnon this mark the continuation of airport projects in addition to the on-going project in Sangley Point International Airport and the ever promising San Miguel’s New Manila International airport in Bulacan.
Airport sectors successfully completed more than 200 projects in the past years and still targeting for another 50 projects under new Dotr Secretary Jaime Bautista who is pushing to have this budgeted in next upcoming budget allocation. DOTR also planned to operate four major airports under the public private partnership (PPP) model and invited Private companies to participate in the development, operations, and maintenance of the New Bohol, Davao, Iloilo and Kalibo airports this is to expedite airport upgrade and improve operation.
The 5th Philippine Airport Modernization and Expansion Summit will again bring together 300 + airport authorities, Operators, Investors, Construction and Design Company and leading solution provider to discuss and exchange ideas on Country’s airport project challenges, solution , plans and opportunities this year and years to come.
