Todd completed his Bachelor of Engineering at UTS, is currently undertaking a PhD at VU and has over 10 years’ experience in the concrete construction industry. In his role as Engineering Manager at BarChip Inc, he has developed guides for the design and construction of macro synthetic fibre reinforced concrete ground slabs, as well as instigating and collaborating on research partnerships with various International and Australian Universities. One such involvement was in the ARC ITTC-Rail program which demonstrated improved precast concrete sleeper performance using macro synthetic fibres. Todd is a member on several industry technical committees such as RILEM Technical Committee 261, fib Task Group 1.8 and the ITAtech Activity Group on Low Carbon Linings. He has been involved in almost all track slab projects in Australia since 2016, facilitating the implementation of macro synthetic fibre reinforcement in this application and driving its adoption nationwide. He enjoys playing football and spending time with his children.
