Mr. Steve Cooper is currently Director – Power Generation of Quartzelec Ltd, an independent engineering service provider with a global reach. The company has workshop facilities throughout the UK, Middle East and Malaysia.
Steve has been with Quartzelec for 20+ years and throughout his tenure with the organisation has overseen significant refurbishment projects of generators up to 660MW; including significant rotor and stator generator repair contracts which the OEM deemed to be scrap.
Steve trained professionally in the UK as a Marine Engineering Officer holding the position of Chief Engineer Officer with Cunard Line. He now specialises in HV generators and is familiar with most design and operating issues from major OEMs including GE, Siemens, Alstom, Brush, Toshiba and Mitsubishi.
