Benjie is a Partner of SGV’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) and Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) and, for 19 years, has served as an accounting advisor and a sustainability practitioner to members of various industries ranging from construction, mining, technology, food and beverage, among others. His role as a sustainability practitioner is to assist companies in understanding and identifying key sustainability issues. He has led multiple sustainability advisory and assurance engagements on areas such as climate change, sustainable finance, circular economy, and sustainability reporting. He is also a member of the firm’s Sustainable Actions for Value-Creation and Enablement (SAVE) Council, leading the firm in the implementation of sustainability initiatives. He is a regular contributor to BusinessWorld Publishing and a resource speaker for various engagements and organizations. Benjie graduated in 2003 with a degree in Accountancy from San Beda University, ranking 3rd in the Philippine Certified Public Accountant Board Examination in the same year. Moreover, Benjie is a Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialist, an accredited Verification Service Provider of the Towards Sustainable Mining, and a Certified Internal Auditor.
