PEDRO H. MANIEGO JR. is a professional industrial engineer, lawyer, economist, and management executive. He has more than 50 years experience in senior executive positions in the energy, metals, beverage, semiconductor, IT, munitions, construction, venture capital, and the academe. Currently, he serves as senior policy advisor to the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities, chairman of the Energy Lawyers Association of the Philippines, trustee of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Center for Excellence in Governance and Justice Reform Initiative, adviser of the UP Engineering Research and Development Foundation, professorial lecturer at the Ateneo School of Government, UP Law Center and ICD, director of Armscor Global Defense Inc. and RASLAG Corp., and a member of MAP, IBP, UPAA, UPAE, UPERDFI, UP Barkada Inc., BEAI, and UPIEAA. He served as Chairman of the National Renewable Energy Board from 2010 to 2016. During his term, the Feed-In Tariff and Net Metering mechanisms were implemented, the rules for the incentives under the RE Act of 2008 were formulated and submitted for approval, and almost 2,000 MW of RE sources were installed.
