Coming from hospitality business Georg started his journey with IKEA in a store in Graz, Austria in 1989 and touched from there during his career various functions in seven different countries and in global assignments for IKEA. In his last assignment, Georg launched the IKEA Brand successfully in Croatia. In 2016, he joined IKEA South East Asia and came to the Philippines to lead the start-up of IKEA Philippines in the role of Market Development Manager. As the country establishment is progressing timely, it is a natural step for Georg to head up the start-up of the first IKEA store in the Philippines, the biggest IKEA store in the World in one of the most commercial areas in Asia! Georg is a passionate retailer with 30 years’ experience; he has great enthusiasm for home furnishing and sees people’s loyalty as an important asset and pillar for a sustainable success. His Mantra is to put customers in the centre of your heart, everything a retailer has to do!
