EUGENE YAP known to many as simply EUGENE is an experienced hotelier. Eugene at 55, has been an icon for the Hospitality Industry with almost 3 decades as hotelier and 18 years with Hotel & Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP).

He finished the General Managers Program, School of Hotel Administration from Cornell University, New York and already holding a Bachelor degree in Commerce, Business Administration from the University of Santo Tomas and School of Law from Manuel L. Quezon University, he continues to hone his expertise through endless exposure to global trends of the Industry thru contact both in Asian countries, US and Europe.

As President of the Hotel & Restaurant Association of the Philippines (HRAP), the umbrella association of the Hospitality Industry in the Philippines, he has strengthened HRAP’s ties with the Association’s counterpart organization in the Asean region through his participation in various Asian conferences, as well as global participation in events like the Global Restaurant Association Executives Leadership Summit organized by the National Restaurant Association, the Asean Hotel & Restaurant Association (AHRA) and the Asean Tourism Association(ASEANTA) as the Philippines’ Official Representative.

Eugene Yap is the General Manager of Bayview Park Hotel Manila and a lifetime member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines since 1990 and a member of the Cornell Hotel Society.

Hailed as one the best working HRAP President, he has made sure that our country’s presence in the Hospitality and Tourism market is always significantly felt.

Most recently, Mr. Yap was appointed as the President of the Asean Hotel & Restaurant Association (AHRA), the umbrella body for national hotel & restaurant associations of countries in ASEAN.
